Welcome to the Ballyhoura Bears Walking Club. Our club is located in the south of Ireland. Our members are from Cork, Limerick, Tipperary and beyond.

Ballyhoura Bears Walks 15th November 2009

Lisvernane was the centre of our attraction last Sunday. The three Club walks started from there on what turned out to be a beautiful bright dry morning, and despite the forecast that we were liable to get heavy thunder showers, for some reason Lisvarrinane and its environs was not included in this assessment.

Ballyhoura Bears 8th November 2009

There are a lot of new ideas in the club at present, and those that are given to reading these notes will have seen that these new ideas are being transferred into a wider variety of walks. Along with this, efforts are being made to find new walks within a reasonable distance from our base to provide our members with new challenges on new terrain.

Ballyhoura Bears October 31st and November 1st

Over the years that the Club has been in existence the membership has grown consistently such that it now stands at over 250. Inevitably this increase in membership places a demand on the club to provide a variety of walks and of walking activities. This demand is being addressed to the extent that last weekend there were four separate club walks on the calendar.
